A Romance in Chester
The Romance for Strings in Eb, Op 11, opens a concert by the Chester Chamber Orchestra.
The concert also features Howard Blake's Flute Concerto and music by Britten, Holst and Elgar.
This is the orchestra's debut concert as a semi-professional outfit. Daniel Parkinson conducts and Rachel Coghlan is the soloist in the Blake.
The venue is Wesley Methodist Church, Chester, at 7.30pm, on October 2. Tickets are £10 and available at the door, subject to availability.
