Finzi in Classic FM rankings
Gerald Finzi's works have scored a "hat trick" in Classic FM's Hall of Fame 2010 - a fantastic achievement for a composer with a relatively low public profile.
In last year's rankings, Five Bagatelles reached 230, the Clarinet Concerto reached 214 and Eclogue reached 174.
Finzi's music also features prominently in Classic FM's Ultimate Hall of Fame, derived from playlists over the past 15 years, with the Clarinet Concerto reaching 296 and Eclogue 215.
The news comes as the popular classical radio station gains a new morning show presenter in the form of journalist and broadcaster John Suchet, brother of Poirot star David.
