Finzi in Beverley Hills
On Friday, June 26 at 7.30pm, the Choir of All Saints', Beverly Hills, California will sing a public Evensong featuring Finzi's "Lo, the full, final Sacrifice" as well as the première performance of a new Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis written for the choir by Sir David Willcocksm, Preces and Responses by the parish's Associate Director of Music, Craig Phillips and The Beatitudes by Arvo Pärt.
Two days later, the same service will be offered privately as the opening Evensong of the 2009 Conference of the Association of Anglican Musicians in Los Angeles.
The June 26 service is the public farewell Evensong of the parish's Director of Music, Dale Adelmann, who has accepted a call to serve as Canon for Music at the Cathedral of St Philip in Atlanta, Georgia.
